Christmas in July

Today I set up my Christmas Room at my store at it looks great! Christmas in July is not a new concept, but it is a very practical one. This is especially true for quilters. If you start making your Christmas gifts now, you may actually have a chance to get them completed before you need to give them. I’m sure I am not the only one that has had to put in those last few stitches late at night on Christmas Eve, vowing not to do it again next year! I decided to make a list this year of all the gifts I would like to make and I taped it up abovemy sewing machine so that every time I sit down to sew I see the list. I try to make one gift each month and let me tell you, it feels so good to cross things off that list!! I really think this year will be different, and I hope to have all of my homemade gifts done by December 1 so that I can focus on all attention on enjoying my family this holiday season. Give it a try, start with something small and before you know it, you will be crossing things off your list.

I made my first Christmas table runner of the season last night! LOL The holidays are always so jam packed I never get things done on time, so I”m trying to be proactive this year!
The list is a great idea!
